Di(2-propylheptyl) phthalate (DPHP) ialah pemplastik cecair tidak berwarna yang digunakan untuk menjadikan kopolimer PVC dan PVC fleksibel. Ia adalah ahli keluarga pemplastis bukan ftalat yang tidak berasaskan asid phthalic.
Ia memenuhi peraturan keselamatan moden dan menggantikan bahan kimia terperingkat seperti DOP. Ia juga kurang toksik kepada alam sekitar daripada DOP.
Hartanah
Di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) ialah pemplastis cecair jernih, tidak berwarna dan tidak berbau. Ia larut dalam kebanyakan pelarut organik dan bercampur dengan PVC. DEHP menyediakan pengegelan yang baik, sifat elektrik dan kekuatan tegangan. Ia juga menawarkan ketahanan yang baik terhadap suhu sejuk dan fleksibiliti suhu tinggi.
DEHP phthalate berat molekul rendah telah digunakan sebagai pemplastis tujuan umum, tetapi disebabkan oleh peraturan yang ketat ia telah digantikan secara berperingkat oleh DINP dan phthalates berat molekul yang lebih tinggi yang lain. Dalam sampel kami dari habuk rumah dan SPM ini telah mengakibatkan peralihan jumlah kepekatan pemplastis ke arah ftalat berat molekul yang lebih tinggi ini.
Pemplastis ini digunakan terutamanya dalam aplikasi PVC perubatan seperti beg darah dan tiub, tiub IV fleksibel, kateter, sarung tangan pelindung dan langsir pembedahan. Walau bagaimanapun, ia juga boleh didapati dalam mainan dan aplikasi lain yang memerlukan fleksibiliti suhu tinggi. Disebabkan oleh struktur kimianya, ftalat berat molekul yang lebih tinggi ini kurang sesuai digunakan dalam aplikasi yang memerlukan fleksibiliti suhu rendah.
Aplikasi
DPHP digunakan untuk meningkatkan kelembutan dan fleksibiliti produk polivinil klorida (PVC) dengan mewujudkan ruang antara molekul yang besar antara rantai polimer. Ia juga memberikan sifat kalis api kepada bahan PVC. Ia boleh didapati dalam jenis umum, elektrik dan gred makanan. Gred am dan elektrik DPHP digunakan dalam penutup lantai & dinding, filem & kepingan, salutan penebat wayar & kabel, barangan pengguna dan fabrik bersalut.
Cecair tidak berbau, tidak berwarna, tidak larut air juga digunakan dalam dakwat percetakan skrin dan sebagai komponen beberapa peranti perubatan seperti kateter. Ia diklasifikasikan sebagai pemplastis yang selamat dan pendedahannya pada manusia telah dilaporkan agak rendah. Walau bagaimanapun, ia telah digantikan dalam banyak aplikasi oleh phthalates HMW lain atas sebab teknikal dan peraturan. Akibatnya, tidak mungkin kepekatan dan corak DPHP dalam habuk rumah dan sampel SPM akan berubah dengan ketara dari semasa ke semasa.
Keselamatan
DPHP ialah alternatif yang lebih selamat kepada phthalates tinggi seperti di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP), yang sedang dalam penelitian untuk potensi ketoksikan pembiakan dan aktiviti yang disyaki mengganggu endokrin. Ia adalah pemplastis turun naik rendah dengan rintangan haba dan sejuk yang baik, rintangan penghijrahan dan sifat elektrik. Ia digunakan dalam bahan lantai PVC dan tarpaulin, serta plastisol salutan. Fogging yang rendah dan turun naik juga menjadikannya sesuai untuk digunakan dalam produk plastik wayar elektrik UL 7090degC.
Sifat selamat DPHP, bersama-sama dengan keserasian yang sangat baik dengan polivinil klorida, menjadikannya salah satu pemplastis paling popular di pasaran. Ia telah diterima pakai secara meluas oleh industri, menggantikan bahan kimia terperingkat seperti DEHP. Kepekatan dan corak DPHP dalam habuk dan sampel SPM hampir tidak berubah sepanjang tempoh kajian dan kekal secara relatifnya rendah berbanding HMW phthalates lain, seperti DINP.
Kesan alam sekitar
Pemplastis Di(2-Propyl Heptyl) Phthalate ialah cecair jernih, tidak berwarna dan hampir tidak berbau. Ia larut dalam pelarut organik biasa dan boleh campur dan serasi dengan semua pemplastik monomerik yang digunakan dalam PVC. Ia digunakan dalam produk PVC dengan keperluan suhu tinggi seperti wayar & kabel, serta untuk aplikasi luar seperti membran bumbung dan tarpaulin.
Penggunaan ester phthalate berasaskan asid phthalic di seluruh dunia dijangka meningkat secara sederhana. Phthalates utama ialah DEHP, DINP, dan DPHP. Mereka digantikan secara beransur-ansur oleh phthalates berat molekul yang lebih tinggi (HMW) dan bukan phthalates yang tidak mempunyai tulang belakang asid phthalic, seperti polimer bebas tereftalat.
Walau bagaimanapun, walaupun terdapat kawalan kawal selia yang ketat, pengekalan sampingan dan peredaran semula ftalat berat molekul rendah terhad dalam masyarakat masih berlaku. Ini disebabkan terutamanya oleh penggantian produk dan amalan kitar semula tanpa mengambil kira ketoksikan bahan yang diganti.
